Starship Home is a psychedelic sci-fi adventure game made for mixed reality that I had the great pleasure of working on with Creature.
These are environments seen in the game through the helm window, where the player uses a scanning device to search the scene for points of interest. The scanner environments have a simplified lidar-like look with different colour themes. I used the planet scanning environments already created by our art director Ashley Pinnick as examples to design and make the three shown here.
I also designed and created the hangar which the starship is inside at the start of the game. Our awesome Unity shaders were made by Trev Clift, VFX by Jamie Degen, and animation by Jack Erskine.
